Our Renal Unit is equipped with dialysis machine, run by renowned renal Physicians and experienced renal nurses who are capable of handling and treating different renal complications like hypertensive and kidney failure.
Case Medical Centre offers medical support in acute and chronic kidney failure by means of dialysis. The kidney performs the function of eliminating excess potassium acid, phosphates and urea dissolved in about 2 litres of water everyday.
Failure to carry out this function is defined as acute when deterioration occurs suddenly over a period that may range from a few hours up to 3 months.
This is an artificial means by which the toxins named above are extracted from the blood stream when the kidney function deteriorates and ceases.
Types of Dialysis
Two types of dialysis are available in Uganda and only at Case Medical Centre.
1. Peritoneal Dialysis
